How well do you know your world?

   Built for curious minds...

Many students love learning about the world but have few meaningful ways to engage with that knowledge.

The Geography Challenge gives curious middle schoolers a national competition designed to recognize and reward knowing about the world.

Students compete individually and apart from their school.  That means that they are on equal footing whether they attend public school, private school, or are homeschooled.

2026 National Championship

On May 22, students from across the country came together in Columbus, Ohio, for the inaugural Geography Challenge, a new competition designed to celebrate geographic knowledge, curiosity, and quick thinking. The event featured strong performances across all grade levels and an exciting atmosphere from start to finish.

In the 6th grade division, Clark Rorex earned the championship title after an outstanding showing. Allan Perez and Konark Banerji finished as runners-up and turned in excellent performances throughout the competition.

The 8th grade competition was equally competitive, with Joseph Nitekman taking home the championship title. Ayush Katariya and Ryan Nadeau were recognized as runners-up after a strong finish in a talented field of competitors.

The 7th grade division was led by Agaran Rajadurai, who captured both the 7th grade championship and the title of Grand Champion. Hartley Poticar and Tim Syomichev earned runner-up honors with impressive performances of their own.

We want to congratulate all of the students who participated in this year’s Geography Challenge and thank the families, teachers, and supporters who helped make the first event such a success. We’re excited to see the competition continue to grow in the years ahead.
